San Diego Comic-Con International, the Grandaddy of all nerd conventions, begins this Thursday and already the Internetz are ablaze with news and scoops about all manner of geeky awesomeness. Here’s one of the little morsels of bad-assery, a banner for the upcoming second season of AMC’s breakout hit, The Walking Dead. Feast your eyes upon the creepy flesh-eating hordes and prepare for October!
Filming is in full swing for the second season of The Walking Dead, and showrunner Frank Darabont had this to say about how it’s going:
At this moment, I’m standing on a stretch of post-apocalypse interstate in Georgia, littered with abandoned cars and blessing my good luck to be reunited with our amazing cast, and our fantastic directors and crew. Across the board, there are none better. It’s great to be shooting again. I think we’ve embarked on a great season.
Here’s some set video courtesy of an Atlanta news station:
I don’t know how I missed posting this trailer for the Steven Spielberg-produced alien invasion TV series Falling Skies yesterday, but here it is in all it’s ID4-meets-The Walking Dead glory. The pilot is set to air on TNT in June, 2011. It looks decent enough, but the aliens themselves need a lot more rendering before the final product airs, and I’m just not so sure I buy Noah Wylie as the badass leader of a group of survivors. Was Matthew Fox not available? Witness the fury of JACKFACE, alien scum!!!
