I don’t know much about this upcoming superhero show from NBC, other than it co-stars Firefly’s Summer Glau as a blogger who blogs about masked vigilantes, but I do know that NBC has a less than stellar track record when it comes to shows about people with super powers *cough* Heroes *cough*. This still of “The Cape” himself doesn’t inspire much confidence, either. In fact, I’ll just say flat out that it looks completely ridiculous. Night Man and M.A.N.T.I.S are laughing their asses off at this guy. For a second there I thought I was looking at page 9 of the iParty Halloween costume catalogue.
Yep, Hitflix sat down with director Darren Aronofsky, who wisely wants his Wolverine film to have no association whatsoever to the toothless, flaccid, excremental X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Aronofsky said the movie, which will be based on Logan’s adventures in Japan from the awesome Frank Miller miniseries of 1980’s, will essentially be a “one-off”.
While I’m not crazy about this title, I’m 100% behind Aronofsky’s philosophy here. I also think adding a “The” to the title of Superhero films is going to be a new trend. So get ready for “The Batman”, “The Superman”, and “The Spider-Man” in the future.
