‘GEORGE LUCAS STRIKES BACK’

This film attempts to answer the question we have all pondered at one point or another over the last 15 years or so: “What if someone kidnapped George Lucas 20 years¬†ago, locked him away in a room Oldboy style, and an imposter created the Prequels in an attempt to sully his name forever?” It succeeds gloriously.

I warn you now, if you were mildly disturbed or even frightened by E.T. as a child, seeing an E.T. with evil eyes, fangs, and a stretchable neck will haunt your dreams for the rest of your existence.

Well, this didn’t take long. Well done, sir. If the actual trailer and film pulls off the awesomeness hinted at here, we could all be in for the ride of our lives at the cineplex in the Summer of 2012.

ANIMATED ‘SUPERMAN CLASSIC’ BY ROB PRATT=AWESOMENESS

My good pal Etrane Martinez turned me on to this fantastic fan-made animated short by Rob Pratt, who has worked as a storyboard artist and animator on Disney cartoons like Pocahontas and Kim Possible. It’s an awesome homage to the 1940’s Fleischer Superman shorts, mixed with some classic Disney and manic Spumco styles. Check it out!

‘LOST’ FAN FILM LOOKS GREAT, HAS LOUSY ACTING

Let’s get one thing out of the way before I get into this video – I was, am, and always will be a gigantic LOST fanboy. I was glued to my couch for six straight years watching the adventures of the Oceanic Flight 815 survivors, and my friends and family were all under strict orders to maintain complete cell phone silence for that one hour a week. The penalty for interruption of my beloved LOST was swift and severe. I even loved the overly-emotional, saccharine finale, because I understood that the true meaning behind the show was all about being human, making mistakes, coming to terms with those mistakes, and learning to let go.
