Yikes. Well, let’s see what we’ve got here, starting from left to right – Michael Fassbender as the young Magneto, Rose Byrne as Dr. Moira McTaggert, January Jones as Emma Frost/White Queen, Jason Flemyng as Azazel, Nicholas Hoult as Dr. Hank McCoy/Beast, Lucas Till as Alex Summers/Havok, Zoe Kravits as Angel Salvadore, Jennifer Lawrence as Raven Darkholme/Mystique, and finally James McAvoy as the young Professor Charles Xavier.

My initial impressions are negative, but I’m going to hold judgment until I see a trailer and some more official imagery. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go hold something else after seeing January Jones in that outfit…

About Jeff Carter

Jeff began his path towards Geek destiny at the age of four, at a drive-in screening of Star Wars. Since then, he's had a love affair with all things nerdy. In the mid to late 90's, Jeff was a staff writer for EchoStation.Com, interviewing Star Wars heavyweights like Timothy Zahn and Drew Struzan. He then went on to review films and write editorial pieces for several blogs in the mid 2000's, wrote and co-created a webcomic strip that ran from 2007-2010, and is currently co-founder of Dead Henchmen Productions, an independent film company based in New England.

  1. John of the Dead

Meh, January Jones does nothing for me (though she has a great bod.) Much rather have Rose Byrne…

Also, I believe Jennifer Lawrence — a potential Oscar nominee this year for her work in “Winter’s Bone” — playing Mystique.
