Hello boys and girls, sorry about the lack of updates today (and Kudos to John of the Dead for throwing up a review of The Warrior’s Way). Due to pesky, meddling “real world” commitments like work, I’m going to switch up my posting schedule. Rather than throw stuff up during the morning and afternoon, I’ll be updating the site between 5PM-11PM EST. So now, enjoy this half-assed link dump of the day’s major news stories, with minimal snarky commentary.

Special Effects guru Steve Johnson releases some concept artwork from two abandoned Superman films: Bryan Singer’s aborted sequel to Superman Returns and J.J. Abrams Superman: Flyby.

Rumor has it George Lucas is up to something involving the rights to animate old movie stars with digital effects.

Paul Rudd will not be voicing Jason Segel’s roommate Muppet in the upcoming The Muppets.

Hans Zimmer is not a movie score composing robot, will not create the music for the upcoming Zach Snyder Superman film.

Finally, Jon Favreau has some interesting things to say regarding Marvel’s master plan for Iron Man 3, Avengers, Thor, and Captain America: The First Avenger.

About Jeff Carter

Jeff began his path towards Geek destiny at the age of four, at a drive-in screening of Star Wars. Since then, he's had a love affair with all things nerdy. In the mid to late 90's, Jeff was a staff writer for EchoStation.Com, interviewing Star Wars heavyweights like Timothy Zahn and Drew Struzan. He then went on to review films and write editorial pieces for several blogs in the mid 2000's, wrote and co-created a webcomic strip that ran from 2007-2010, and is currently co-founder of Dead Henchmen Productions, an independent film company based in New England.

Going with that suit would be ridiculous, and frankly they need to stick with the basics if they want a successful film. Superman and Batman are two different characters, the sun and the moon, polar opposites. Chris Nolan should not be producing it. They also need to create a strong villain for this one, otherwise, it will just be another flop.
