“The Wolverine”.

Yep, Hitflix sat down with director Darren Aronofsky, who wisely wants his Wolverine film to have no association whatsoever to the toothless, flaccid, excremental X-Men Origins: Wolverine.  Aronofsky said the movie, which will be based on Logan’s adventures in Japan from the awesome Frank Miller miniseries of 1980’s, will essentially be a “one-off”.

While I’m not crazy about this title, I’m 100% behind Aronofsky’s philosophy here. I also think adding a “The” to the title of Superhero films is going to be a new trend. So get ready for “The Batman”, “The Superman”, and “The Spider-Man” in the future.

About Jeff Carter

Jeff began his path towards Geek destiny at the age of four, at a drive-in screening of Star Wars. Since then, he's had a love affair with all things nerdy. In the mid to late 90's, Jeff was a staff writer for EchoStation.Com, interviewing Star Wars heavyweights like Timothy Zahn and Drew Struzan. He then went on to review films and write editorial pieces for several blogs in the mid 2000's, wrote and co-created a webcomic strip that ran from 2007-2010, and is currently co-founder of Dead Henchmen Productions, an independent film company based in New England.

  1. Personally I can’t wait for the grammatical insanity of The Le Greenboy.
